New appointment system - from 19th September 2016, please book on the day for urgent issues and ahead for routine issues.
CQC Report released February 2016 - Corbett Medical Practice rated as "Outstanding"
Out of Hours : To obtain urgent medical advice when the surgery is closed, please ring 111. Calls to the NHS 111 service are free from land lines and mobiles.
Test Results : Please ring for test results after 2.00pm. This allows time for the result to have been seen by one of the doctors.
Home Visits : If you are unable to attend the surgery due to illness, and need the doctor to visit you at home, please telephone between 8.00 and 10.30am.
To cancel an appointment, you can call 01905 795566 to advise reception, or leave a message on 01905 791938 (24hrs) or cancel via your online access.
Telephone consultations - as some queries can be resolved by a doctor, nurse or pharmacist over the phone. Please call the Practice to arrange for the appropriate clinician to return your call.
Early and late appointment times: GP or HCA blood tests/ blood pressure check appointments run on Mondays and Tuesdays from 7am (These appointments must be pre-booked online, by phone or in person). One evening per week we are open until 8pm with a GP and practice nurse (although our phone lines will still close at 6:30pm).
Worcestershire extended access appointments: In addition to the practice’s normal opening hours, and additional surgery opening times as stated above, you can also book an appointment to see a local clinician in the evenings or on Saturday and Sunday at locations across South Worcestershire. GP practices are working together to provide extended access appointments to our patients. This means that your extended access appointment may be with a different GP, nurse or based in a different location or practice than you are used to, and some of these appointments are telephone only. These appointments are pre-bookable by contacting the surgery during our opening times – when calling please ask for an extended access appointment and our receptionists will help you to find a convenient appointment.
For urgent medical advice when the surgery is closed, call 111 for advice over the phone by a clinician. You may be advised to see a doctor based at Worcester, Redditch or Kidderminster hospital.
Always ring before attending one of the Centres as there may not be a doctor on-site. Please note that all calls to the emergency service are recorded. Do make sure that your out-of-hours call is absolutely necessary.
Medical advice is also available 24 hours a day from NHS Direct on 111. This nurse-led help-line offers expert NHS health advice and information (calls charged at local rates). Your local pharmacist will also be able to give you health advice. Many pharmacies operate extended hours on a rota basis. For details call NHS Direct.
The practice will be closed on the following dates over the Christmas period 2019-2020:
- Wednesday 25th December 2019
- Thursday 26th December 2019
- Wednesday 1st January 2020
