Named GP

The NHS now requires all patients to be allocated a 'named GP' who is responsible for your care at the practice. Regardless of who your named GP is, you can continue to access appointments with any GP or healthcare professional at the practice.

All patients registered with us are allocated a 'named GP' who has responsibility for overseeing the care and support that our practice provides.  This does not change which GP you may usually, or prefer to see.

You will continue to be able to access appointments with any GP, Physician Associate, Nurse or Pharmacist at the practice, exactly as you do at present.

Your named GP will work in conjunction with the whole Practice Team to ensure the quality of your care.

You can find out who your named GP is via:

  • Contacting the practice
  • Letters from the practice

If you have a very specific request to change your named GP, please submit your request in writing for the attention of the practice manager.
